Meet the Most Handsome Sacred Tree

 

We met the most handsome tree in Taiwan.

My girlfriend and I, visited Taiwan last week. It was a year of planning, watching vlogs, and building our itinerary which I enjoyed the most. Going to another country, listing all the places we'd like to visit, shops that we want to explore, and food that we want to try excites me.

One location on our list is the Alishan Forest. We saw a lot of videos on TikTok about it and how it can restart your brain chemistry.

While my girlfriend was busy taking photos for memory keepsakes, I savored the moment. Breathing the fresh forest air I can consume (believing I can somehow keep some fresh air inside my lungs LOL).

In the middle of the forest, there's the Sianglin Sacred Tree. Proudly standing at the height of 45m with a circumference of 12.3m. It is believed to be 2,300 years old. 

According to our tour guide, this tree won the voting (2007) of being the next sacred tree after the longest-standing 50m red cypress tree after a lightning strike burned it in 1998.

This Sianglin Sacred Tree is considered the most handsome tree in The Alishan Forest. 

As they say, everyone has their own flaws. So as this tree.

While trying to explore the area, I decided to take the path around it to appreciate it more but when I came to the "back" view of the tree I found out that the most handsome tree had a hollow part on it.

Everyone has their own flaws..and that's okay. 

Like this handsome Sianglin Sacred Tree, we need to continue standing tall and continue growing. One way or another, people will look up to you and you'll be seeing your reflection with a smile on your face feeling accomplished.
